Print VS. Digital Photo

PRINT
Pros:

  • You receive a physical copy
  • Lower cost initially
  • Captures Black and White details more effectively 
  • Film can take up a lot of space
  • Not as susceptible to issues with exposure
Cons:
  • Must pay extra for film
  • Film must be developed before viewing
  • Need a darkroom or lab to edit.
  • Film can sometimes take a while before seeing results
  • Dyes in film can alter image over time.

DIGITAL
Pros:

  • Can be used for many purposes
  • No tedious process of developing 
  • Saves money
  • Allows for easier editing
  • Easier  to manage photography
Cons:
  • Camera itself costs more at first
  • Requires a great deal of power (ex. batteries)
  • Restricted to the resolution of the Digital camera
  • Sometimes difficult to see anything in an LCD viewfinder in improper lighting
  • Always a moment of delay when performing various functions
