Aperture: a space through which light passes in an optical or photographic instrument, especially the variable opening by which light enters a camera

Shutter Speed: the amount of time that the shutter is open. Shutter speed is measured in seconds – or in most cases fractions of seconds. The bigger the denominator the faster the speed (ie 1/1000 is much faster than 1/30)

ISO: When you change your ISO setting, you're adjusting your camera's sensitivity to light.ISO settings can be anywhere from 24 to 6,400 (or higher), and these numbers have a direct relationship with the device's sensitivity, so a lower setting makes it less sensitive and a high setting makes it more so

Print VS. Digital Photo

PRINT
Pros:

  • You receive a physical copy
  • Lower cost initially
  • Captures Black and White details more effectively
  • Film can take up a lot of space
  • Not as susceptible to issues with exposure
Cons:
  • Must pay extra for film
  • Film must be developed before viewing
  • Need a darkroom or lab to edit.
  • Film can sometimes take a while before seeing results
  • Dyes in film can alter image over time.

DIGITAL
Pros:

  • Can be used for many purposes
  • No tedious process of developing
  • Saves money
  • Allows for easier editing
  • Easier  to manage photography
Cons:
  • Camera itself costs more at first
  • Requires a great deal of power (ex. batteries)
  • Restricted to the resolution of the Digital camera
  • Sometimes difficult to see anything in an LCD viewfinder in improper lighting
  • Always a moment of delay when performing various functions
